Motor Boating and Constipation Relief - More from Charleston
So it was good time with the family down in Charleston, South Carolina. Specifically, we were at Wild Dunes which is a resort on Isle of Palms. We highly recommend it. The kids experienced a number of firsts that week - namely the beach and the pool.
Here is a video of the kids going to the ocean for the first time. They didn't cry too much, but it was also obvious that they weren't the biggest fans.
Here are some pictures from their first time in the pool - which they absolutely loved....
Cole wondering what the heck he is doing in a big bath tub
It is hard to see in the small picture, but if you make it bigger you will notice that Holland is either splashing the water, practicing for the Lake Wylie Synchronized Swim Team, or getting back to her German roots.
Holland loves splashing
The happy family...and two babies that love to splash
Holland could stay in there all day
Cole loves to kick...and chill
With rolls like that, it is pretty apparent that Holland floats.
"I'm the king of the world"

Later in the week, Paw Paw decided to play peek-a-boo with the babies. With a head that large, he can't help but be funny.
Finally, at some point in the week, the kids got a little constipated. Fear not, mommy came to the rescue with the prunes. Unfortunately for daddy, she gave the kids the ENTIRE jar at one time and he had to live with the consequences. Here are the happy babies after eating their prunes.

Charleston Trip
GiGi, Paw Paw, Pop, Mommy, Daddy, Cole, and Holland all took a trip to the coast for an entire week! We had such a great time even though the weather did not cooperate every day... Hopefully Daddy will upload the pictures of us swimming and playing in the ocean after we get back from Kentucky this weekend!

Baby Boat Ride
Mike and Sherrie were nice enough to take us out on their pontoon today and we strolled around the lake. The kiddos like looking around the the other boats, birds, and such. However, as you can imagine, they are not to fond of the life jackets. Luckily, with the help of TW "Don't call me Mayor" Hardwick, we found out that life jackets aren't required to be worn in South Carolina if the boat is longer than 16 feet - we just have to keep them in close proximity to the kids. Needless to say, we won't be crossing the border with the babies. The summer just got a little better!

Lea halalelaaaaaaaa
Holland and Cole were baptized on Sunday. It was a beautiful day and the kids did great. Mindy and I were so happy (and grateful) to have our family and friends there for the big day.
Here is the video from the church...
And here are some pictures from the day...

Where's Cole and What Happened to Holland's Hair?
Now that Cole is somewhat mobile (i.e. he rolls himself everywhere), he has decided that he likes to explore the space. Last night he "rolled" himself into a bind.
And Mindy did Holland's hair yesterday in the style of "Pebbles" (or a Unicorn as Daddy says). Holland definitely has some "built in" mousse in her hair b/c even after the bows and ties are out, it stays put.
Enjoy...

Turkey Day
Thanksgiving was a big time at our house this year. Aunt Kimmie and Pop came in to visit and Miss Em and Gerald came over for the celebration. We had a great time on Daddy's favorite holiday... although we are told it will be much better when we can actually eat something other than milk! Aunt Kimmie spent all day in the kitchen cooking up a storm. During the festivities, Holland let out her first laugh. We haven't heard it since (Mommy's jokes must be getting worse!).

Is it really possible to have more pictures?
Just when you thought there were already enough pictures of Holland and Cole, we had to go and bring in another professional photographer to snap some shots of the kiddos.
Jenna, of Red, White, and Green Photography, pulled a Godfather and made us an offer we couldn't refuse - and we couldn't be happier with the results. I am sure Mindy will have Jenna on speed dial as the Dutchess and the Cole Train (woo woo) get bigger.
To see the pictures you can click on the link below. Jenna will be providing us with a CD of the pictures. If there are any you want, please let us know.

CMOM Outing and Daddy on Baby Duty
Mindy went to her first Charlotte Mothers of Multiples play date with her friend Kristin and her boys Aiden and Liam yesterday. I can't speak for the ladies because I wasn't there, but I do know that Mindy had the fear of God look in her eye as she told me the stories. Toys were definitely thrown away and I am sure that both Mindy and Kristin are not ready for the kids to walk.
Unfortunately, Mindy came down with a stomach virus on her way home so Daddy was on 24 hour baby duty by himself. Scary thought, I know. The good news is that the babies are still alive. They also watched an obscene amount of football. Cole will be happy to tell you about the spread offense and Holland knows how to stop the triple option. Daddy can't wait for when football season is over and he can pull out the old Wrestlemania DVD's with the babies - that's when the real education begins!
